Chakras are the energy centers (wheels of light) in the body.  These energies, with the human brain computer, are like the motherboard of our spirit.  In the spiritual community there is an abundance of information about the chakras.

The Light aspect:

The Muladhara Chakra means the foundation.  The Root Chakra is represented by the Earth element.   The aspects are rooted in safety, security, and survival.  The ruling planet is Mars (masculine) rules Aries (March 21- April 19).  Mars is the God of War. Tuesday is the day of the week for Mars.  This planet has a to do with aggression, sexuality, courage, and action.    

The Shadow Aspect:

The shadow of the Root Chakra is self-centered fearful, greedy, animalistic and violent.  The biggest shadow is fear.  When you feel like your basic needs for survival (food, shelter, stability) are not being met, then this shadow starts to manifest.  Security needs to be established.   Right now, fear is constantly being pushed by the media.  One way to deal with the fear is integration. Integration means intermixing your shadow and your light so to speak; to achieve wholeness. The shadow is the part of you that has been repressed. The deep dark abyss of yourself that has been locked away needs to come up and you need to feel those feelings and come face to face with your demon-which is you. Heaven and hell is a state of mind and you have to alchemize yourself. Turn your pain into power.

There is not right or wrong way to integrate your shadow. Essentially, you are bringing your darkness into the light and owning it for what it is. The main idea is that you need to be grounded and rooted in yourself and know who you are.  Some may seek out mediation, yoga, nature, EFT Tapping, reiki, inner child work and journaling.   Remember, do what works best for you, but it starts with acknowledging the emotions (energy in motion). Only you can heal yourself. You know what lurks in the deep of you soul. A true healer can only show you the path but you must walk on your own.
